How a campaign works

Five stages, all handled by email. You approve the scope before work starts and the outreach before it is sent.

  1. Stage 1: Inquiry and fit assessment

Send a short inquiry about your book. The initial fit assessment and proposal are free.

By email: We use your summary, links, goals, and timing to assess fit. This introductory review is not a full manuscript audit or a researched contact list.

    What you provide

    • Book title and a short description
    • Your goals, timing, and relevant links
  2. Stage 2: Written scope and approval

Review the proposed deliverables, timeline, and fee before committing.

By email: You can ask questions or request changes. Paid research and campaign work begin only after you approve the scope and applicable terms in writing.

    What you provide

    • Your approval or requested changes
    • Approval of any separate costs
  3. Stage 3: Book and audience research

The agreed paid work begins with the book, its readers, and comparable titles.

By email: Research depth follows your approved package. Where included, we develop positioning and identify suitable outreach opportunities.

    What you provide

    • A review copy if required by the agreed scope
    • Existing descriptions and publisher constraints
  4. Stage 4: Materials and campaign execution

Review materials and, where included, approve the outreach before it is sent.

By email: Foundation focuses on strategy and planning. Growth and Full Campaign add the outreach agreed in your proposal. You approve contacts and pitch wording first.

    What you provide

    • Feedback on drafts
    • Approved contacts and pitch wording where outreach is included
  5. Stage 5: Reporting and next steps

Receive a written record of the work and practical recommendations.

By email: For outreach campaigns, reporting separates messages sent, replies, declines, and confirmed coverage. Planning engagements conclude with the agreed strategy documents.

    What you provide

    • Any relevant responses received directly

You stay in control

Nothing is sent on your behalf without your approval.

No hidden costs

Advertising, printing, and postage are separate and only with written approval.

Honest reporting

Reports include declines and non-responses, not only successes.
